Resume

Rohan Rajaram Karande, born 1982 in Karad (India), is a PhD student in the research group Technical Enzymology. He studied Chemical Engineering (BE) from Shivaji University, Padmabooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology (1999 to 2003). He graduated as Master of Biochemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technische Universität Dortmund in February, 2007. In his master thesis at the Laboratory of Chemical Biotechnology he developed an integrated purification/immobilization concept for efficient upstream processing of Styrene monooxygenase (StyA).
In May 2007 Rohan started his PhD thesis at the Laboratory of Chemical Biotechnology under the supervision of Prof. A. Schmid and Dr. Katja Bühler. His research work focused on devlopment and applications of microreactors for biocatalytic reactions.
